Mr Cole Black or Cole is a very happy, kind and caring young man. He loves to meet and greet everyone and give them a good kiss! He enjoys food more than anything else but also loves playing tuggy and although growing into quite a big boy he still thinks he is a lap dog! Cole enjoys his walks, always heading full steam into any large deep puddles and really enjoys splashing around in the lakes at Frensham. Cole is currently a bit of a goon and regularly makes us laugh. Derek adores him and he is his pride and joy, they regularly sneak off together for extra treats!!

Cole is from Ellie's first litter in 2016. All the litter were named after greek gods, linking to their sire Triton. Kairos is the Greek God of/ personification of opportunity and luck. Cole is a handsome young man and quite dark with only a very narrow white blaze and a small amount of white collar on one side of his neck. He has been trained for the show ring since he was young as well as doing a little basic obedience working towards his good citizen tests, shaping and some foundation agility. He has also had a puppy sheep assessment and was very keen and interested in the sheep, was able to balance them in each direction and move them towards me.
Cole spent most of his puppyhood concentrating on breed showing although he is also passed his KC Bronze good citizen award and loved foundation agility. Now he is older he is concentrating more on agility which he loves. He is showing plenty of drive and loves his toy. He also loves his weaves and contacts. We hope to start competing him in agility sometime in 2018. Cole's first show was on his 6 month birthday at LKA where he behaved well, although unplaced at the biggest show of the year bar Crufts in a big class. At his second show a couple of weeks later he won the junior class, Best Puppy and Pastoral Puppy Group 3. He was also 3rd in a large AV Puppy Stakes winning £5 under the best in show judge!! In January 2017 a month later, he won Junior, Best Puppy and Pastoral Puppy Group 1!! Since then he has qualifed for Crufts 2018 under both breed specialist and all rounder judges and has qualified for Junior Border Collie Of the Year 2018. Cole had a great year competing in 2018 and had multiple top 3 placings under both breed specialists and all rounder judges including serveral Champ show wins, some multiple class wins at the same show and was in 2 champ show challenges. Cole qualified for Crufts 2020 at his first attempt in February 2019 at Midlands Border Collie Club Champ show. I am really pleased with the way he is maturing.

Cole needed a lot of extra time to mature mentally as well as physically so his agility career was put on hold. He has now started back and the break was worth it. Although only currently competing in Anysize competitions he has already had a win and multiple top 3 placings. As soon as I can finish his weave and contact training, I look forward to competing him properly.

Cole's critique from breed specialist Richard Lucas for winning Graduate Dog at Border Collie Club Of Wales Champ show July 2018:
Graduate dog 3 [1], 1st- Bridges & Cooper - Kirkbridgend Kairos - liked him for his type and shape, balanced head, dark eye, well constructed with a good layback of shoulder, moved freely.

Cole's critique from Lorna Hastings Menaker for winning Yearling Dog and Graduate Dog at Southern Counties Champ June 2018:
YD (8,1) 1 Bridges & Cooper's Kirkbridgend Kairos Lovely smooth outline with correct proportions. Gave impression of great workability. Fairly broad skull with balance of equal top skull to foreface. Nice well developed nostrils. His mid-dark brown, moderate size, oval shaped eyes correctly set wide apart. His ears were of medium size and the ear leather of good texture. His strong muscular neck flowed into his shoulder, I would prefer a touch more lay back. Good well sprung rib and a reasonably broad depth of chest. Held his strong topline on the move. Low set tail, reached the hock joint, his rear pasterns were well let down. Overall a well balanced dog with moderate angulation front and rear. Moved very well in all directions and with purpose on his excellent deep padded and sound oval feet. Really like his weatherproof coat, length and texture. Presented in hard condition and gave the impression of being able to work all day in the field.

Cole's critique from Russell F Jones for winning Post Graduate at Portsmouth and Southsea KA open February 2018:
PG (Dog or Bitch) (3,0) 1 Bridges & Cooper, Mrs L.A. & Mrs E., Kirkbridgend Kairos: A 20mth old Black & White dog that was the easy winner in this class. He is of a good type with a good out line and is very masculine for his age. He has a nice head with dark markings that is well balanced for size with good expression. Good neck, neat front and good depth of brisket. Good back and good tuck up with good angles to rear, good length of tail, neat hocks and tight feet. Moved out well around the ring. Well handled

Cole's critique from all rounder Russell F Jones at Chichester DCS Open show January 2017 where he won Junior, Best Puppy and Pastoral Puppy Group 1:
J (3) 1 Bridges & Cooper Kirkbridgend Kairos, (D). A pleasing type of dog puppy, 7 mths of age, with a good outline and super on the move. He has a good head and skull with a good ear set, good stop and dark eyes, muzzle and correct bite. I liked his neck and good layback of shoulder, good brisket and nice spring of ribs. He is well grown for his age and has a good back and good angles to rear with good hocks. He just needs to fill out which he will do in time. Pleased to award him BP and P.Grp.1. One to watch out for.

Cole's critique from winning a good AV Puppy Dog March 2017 at Guildford DCS Open under the Best In Show judge Ronald W James:
AV - Puppy Dog (7) 1 Bridges & Cooper Kirkbridgend Kairos - Border Collie. Pleasing youngster with very pleasing action, well balanced head with good eye and expression, nicely boned with correct feet, pleasing rib, loin and backline, well set croup.

Cole's critique from all rounder judge at Portsmouth & Southsea KA February 2017:
PGD/B (4, 3) 1 Bridges & Cooper's Kirkbridgend Kairos. 8 month old b/w dog with a good overall shape and proportion to him. Nice colour, shape and set of eye. In good condition for one so young, he covered the ground with ease and had a super temperament.
